Morning all, Sorry i’ve been quiet, got soooo much to do as I am planning ANOTHER wedding…..my daughter this time….lol. She is getting married in April and i’ve got 101 things to order, make, organize etc, she wants Fuschia and black as her colour theme so i’m going mad on ebay trying to find everything as cheap as poss.

I have also got loads to catch up on tele wise….looking forward to Haunted Highways and the other para shows. 🙂

Snow is still here although the main roads are clear now, our road is still like a skating rink…we had a hard frost last night which has made it worse…..hope I don’t fall a break ma hip !!!! that’s what old ladies do isn’t it ? lol.

I used to live near a big graveyard and we used to play in there ( always respecting the graves of course ) !! my brother swore he saw a ghost in there once, he wouldn’t go in there for ages after that .

Karl Beattie Just heard the very sad news that film director and restaurant critic Michael Winner has died at the age of 77. What a legend he was and a thoroughly nice chap. I had the pleasure of working with in Monte Carlo, London and Los Angeles. A little bit of England has just died. RIP Michael xx

Just read about a famous female Aviator Amy Johnson, quite a lady broke records right and left……….. and then sadly on an Air Transport Auxiliary secret mission in WW2 …………. she went off course due to adverse weather………..ran out of fuel…….. and was seen bailing out by the crew of the HMS Haslemere……… and alive in the water …….even though………Conditions were poor….. there was a heavy sea and a strong tide,……. snow was falling and it was intensely cold……. hmmmm?

Lt Cmdr Walter Fletcher, the commander of Haslemere died trying to rescue her after jumping in ……………… erm her body was never found and it is said she had a passenger ???? who was also not found ??

Anyway ……………….. an old soldier admitted in 1999 that he was ordered to shoot her down as she failed to give the correct recognition code and so was thought to be an enemy plane ???? hmmmmm he was told when he discovered who he really shot down by his CO that he was NEVER to tell anyone what happened!!!!

Anyway it got me thinking about Amelia Earhart ………whose fate…….is still a mystery ????………. some say it was the dragons triangle that got her …….. some say she was held prisoner on an island,for years before being finally executed.

It is now known that the Navy involved with keeping contact with her left the radio on by mistake …………….. and so when it came time for arranged contact there was not enough juice to make the call …………….so she was left hanging 🙁 ………..but what with that sad old soldiers tale above…….. i kinda wonder if the same happened to Amelia?

Thing is it got me thinking……help…. and how about this for a MH location…… either the Bermuda….or…. Dragons…..Triangle!!!!…… ok bit out there…… but you never know they might catch sight of a Ghost Ship ……..or…….. a USO when there there !!!! 😀

Apparently USO’s, UFO’s, when out of the water …… are very frequent visitors there ………….. now given how we hear those places mess with passing planes or ships navigation systems, missing time etc….. maybe they are underwater bases ??? ….too much lol ……. i know its totally out there 😉 ……… but when i started thinking about how interesting Ghost Ships were well i got a bit carried away. 😀

Anyhow wouldnt it be great to investigate that phenomena ????? after all ………….King in waiting (George 5th) spied the Flying Dutchman in 1881 when he was aboard HMS Bacchante.

In his diary, for July 11, “At four a.m., the Flying Dutchman crossed our bows.” The lookout on the forecastle, and the officer of the watch, also saw the ghost ship off the port bow. Prince George described “… a strange red light, as of a phantom ship, all aglow in the midst of which light the mast, spars and sails of a brig two hundred yards distant stood out in strong relief as she came up.”

Mind you as fascinating as Ghost Ships are if it came to them or Boleskine House the latter would win 😀

Mr Beattie is naughty about the french, i recall that ep i think , i personally have nothing against them and when we went over to Disneyland Paris a couple of years ago , i thought they were v friendly at that was out of the complex too , do you know which frenchman i find lovely Raymond Blanc , love his enthusiasm and his cooking!! so i’ve adopted him as my french chef Uncle!

Watched Derbyshire Ghosts with Mr felix , v interesting actually some places i’d not even heard they exsisted , there’s a stone circle on the way to Matlock just outside where reputedly the devil sat playing a fiddle to nine ladies who danced to the music , and god was nt happy about it so turned the ladies to stone!!!?? hence the nine stone circle! , and then the Chesterfield spire is crooked and they said the devil wrapped his tail round it while watching a wedding then scarpered quiclkly leaving his talil?!!!!! great arn’t they these legends and myths , he visited lovely Elvaston Castle (Still in prison my link grrrr) and Carnfield Hall the one where Michaela strachan visited , lovely property .
Apparently poor Mary queen of Scots was imprisoned in a few Derbyshire areas, Richard went on to explain her horrible execution , it was her where the axeman tried 3 attempts to lop off her head then when he picked her head up it came away from her wig rolled across the floor and her lips were still quivering and moving ,ooo ghastly, sorry if i’ve given you all nightmares now , they were just horrible in them days .
so yes some interesting and grisly facts , he has also done Derby and Nottingham ghosts under past and present productions i think tht’s what it’s called

@Claire…i’m with you on the ufo’s, i mean there is no way we are the only living things in the universe, it’s hard to distinguish fake from real when watching youtube videos though, there are so many ways of faking photo’s and vids…….but that exploding planet was so realistic and seems to be the real thing…. it would be interesting to know what planet it was and to get it confirmed by an astro – scientist thingy person !!

To summon a host of demons ……………….. thing it is a lenghty spell and half way through the invocation he was called away ……… leaving everything hanging ………… which caused a bit of bother !!!! On his return he noted black shapes roaming around !!!!

Well i have just googled that song which i have always loved and omg!!!!!!

ooh Mr Nikki found a copy of Burton -on trent ghosts and Derbyshire Ghosts with non other than our very own Mr Felix , v interesting jst seen a little of Burton , he went to Tutbury where my pa lives and caught up with Lesley and her potrayal of Mary queen of Scots , i have to say she is remarkably good at that , but then she would keep me interested with her history speil and raised eyebrows!!!!, it looks as if it was filmed round the time Richard was with the MH crew and Lesley had nt been introduced yet to the mh team so quite a while back , so have to watch my hometown ep ,should be good , one thing i noticed about richard in this dvd was enthusiastic as he is he let the person who he was interviewing have they say!!! didn’t interupt which i find quite annoying in some interviews , it’s like the interviewer is saying “it’s all about me really” oh and here is my guest an afterthought” sorry a bit of a rant there but it does get my goat .
anyway i think they would be available Dvds that is in some shops so lookie out .
