Hi just watched a bit of the ep looks different than i remember and they have changed the voice over guy grrr Sounds a bit like the voice of Moses. Original guy had a real lilting eeriness about it. Also i though you got to see the real fam? but you can only hear them now.

Forgot to say what do you guys think about Dr C selling his famous flying penny that he must have thought enough about to make into a keychain?
Do you think they had a big falling out or is the good Doc just so incredibly happy and well adjusted that he is soooooo moving on???

Re walkins yes i was referring to disincarnate spiritual beings and not Demons. Absolutely if they could ‘walkin’ to there previous families home and just go from there then oooo that would surely stump the sceptics. But to my knowledge of this these conditions (which is limited) the sufferer is left, confused…. different but confused and so ….. ?
Re residual pastlife memories kicking in, in place of the damaged brain….. well thats another untestable situation really.
Mainly for the reasons you state…… you just could not get past that powerful thing called suggestion!

Sounds like you have an infinity with animals x I love bunnies too, 2 doors down there is a lovely BIG pair of calico bunnies i take them some dandillion leaves every now and then there so cute. I had Guinea pigs when i was a kid loved the little noise they made and they made great pals too.

Ooh! One-nil. Nice shot. Karl would appreciate that one, he often does that when he takes a swipe at someone, e.g. Derek, gives just enough info so you know who he means, but not enough to get him in trouble.
Thing is, all of the antics at Antix make people very sceptical to any evidence gathered, especially tapping as it’s so easy to fake, some groups use thermal imaging cameras to look around and make sure that nobody is faking any evidence when evidence seems to be happening. The group hosting the radio show with Ciaran and Steve went into that, the group said it undermined what they were trying to achieve, but it was used as an ego trip by some who wanted to gain kudos for being the one to get the activity, especially if they claimed to be sceptical (not their words, but that was the general gist) and that was when Ciaran spoke of the “worrying trend” in people claiming not to be psychic but seemingly always being the one to be on the receiving end of the activity.

He’s been in a bit of a fight with Jon Donnis, from what I understand they had a fight on Facebook (the Devil’s playground, that thing) then it continued afterwards and some rather unpleasant emails were sent to Donnis and they were traced back to Robberts. I know it must be aggravating for Robberts to read Donnis and the others at BadPsychics laying into him, but it does not justify what he wrote in the emails. Donnis says that Ciaran covered it up, but how silent can someone expect to keep something when Jon Donnis is about? If there was anything to be exposed, he’d be the one to do it. (Until he ‘retired’ in 2010.)
I can’t remember what I searched for now, I think I typed “Derek Acorah” into Amazon’s book search (looking for a release date for his new one XD ) and scrolled down until I found Billy Robert’s new one, the reference itself was in a section about Ciaran vs Derek, as Billy knows Ciaran quite well and he was covering trance mediumship at the time.
I didn’t catch that one, but I did see that episode a long time ago and I do vaguely remember it.

You’re right, everybody wants to be a cat.
Even by cat standards 5 years does seem a long time to be sulking. She did come around in the end, and we’d often come home to find the two of them curled up together on a rug. They were not snuggled up or anything, they were just on the same rug, but it was still quite sweet. (^_^)
Cleo wasn’t about to put up with that sort of behaviour in her house. XD

They were all dressed up for the Yvette Fielding’s Night of Fright (I’ve seen the pictures on various FB pages) and it did look like an atmospheric night, but it’s not something I’d have gone to if they’d been in my area. I’d have got thrown out for heckling 20 minutes in, for one thing. XD
Richard Jones does a Ripper Tour in London that I’ve heard a lot of good things about. Would be a good one for when I’m next in London. 🙂

Especially considering that the “I’m as psychic as a [insert non-psychic object of your choice here]” is a line frequently used on MH, by various people.

The first series was written in the very late 70s and the series was screened from 1980-1988, and yet everything that happened then is still going on. The first episode I saw was about Quangos a few years ago, and at the time David Cameron was ranting about Quangos, that made me laugh and again yesterday, I saw the episode ‘Big Brother’ where the minister is trying to explain why the Government was holding people’s information on a database, and that evening, there was a news item about Kent County Council’s use of their database of constituents’ information and they had someone from Big Brother Watch on. I had a very big chuckle about that.

It is very strange how it happens and we’ve got a lot to learn about this fascinating process.
Fascinating story about the man who’s personality completely changed after his head injury, it is extremely strange how that happens.
Interesting theory re: past lives, the only problem with testing it is that you’d have to do a few regressions and sceptics may say that the interests discovered after the injury/stroke has influenced their content, especially as it was so recent, and you’d only be able to test it on previous regressions if the patient already had an interest in past lives before the problem, but then, the sceptic would argue that maybe that held some influence over their new personality because they’d sub-consciously been influenced by something at an earlier age which had manifested during the regression and been brought out as an interest by the injury/stroke, so it’s very tricky to test, but it is a fascinating idea.
Possession, I don’t know, it’s a different ball game, I’m assuming you are referring to possession of a body by the spirit of a person, and the first thing that comes to my mind is “are there memories of that person’s separate life?” That would be amazing if there were actual memories of that person’s life, as it would be proof not only that a portion of someone lives on after death in one form or another, but that it can be something physical and tangible, rather than metaphysical or spiritual (which is more distant and more difficult to understand or communicate with.)
The Eye is a good background film, I was doing other stuff at the time, but it was an interesting watch for the concept (I saw the remake, but I have no doubt that the original Asian film is better, they usually are.)

Bram Stoker’s Dracula is probably my favourite film, for so many reasons, Gary Oldman is awesome in it, so is Anthony Hopkins, the script is beautiful, the relationship between Vlad and Mina is very special to watch, the costumes are fabulous, the music is incredibly atmospheric, the accents are a bit dodgy, and canoe Reaves is as wooden as ever, but it doesn’t even matter because everything else is so great. The film is coming up for it’s 20th anniversary on 13th November, so I’ll celebrate by watching it that day (it’s a Tuesday, so my diary’s clear that day.) Ghostwatch’s 20th anniversary is this Halloween (that’s what I’ll be doing that day if MH is not back) and it’s the 20th anniversary of Aladdin on 25th November, which was one of my favourite films as a kid, Jasmine kicked ass, the Sultan was amusing, so was Genie, Jafar was hilarious, Aladdin was a bit wet, but you couldn’t have everything. You know you miss your childhood when you start psychoanalysing Disney villains, I did that with Frollo and it was surprisingly easy to do, it’s all in the scene with the song ‘Hellfire’, which is intense and a brilliant scene, but it tells you more about a single character in those two or so minutes than at any other point.

I saw a clip of these zoo keepers who released a lion from their care into the wild, then they went back about a year later, saw him, called him and he came bounding up to them and put his paws on their shoulders and licked them, they hugged him. It was so cute. (^_^)

I enjoyed PA3 (can’t wait for PA4 on DVD/Sky) it was good to have some back story on Katie and Kristi and for them to go into their family (their grandmother Lois especially) and the origin of the activity. By now I am really very interested in the characters and their lives and care about what happens to them (have you seen the trailer for PA4? It looks good!) 😀

Humanism is something that I find very interesting, and it’s something that I’ve been looking into since someone I know told me about it in about February and I was fascinated to learn more, so I started searching on the web, and I have to admit I can definitely see the idea as something I could very much work with. 🙂

It was time very well spent, the bunny and guinea pig’s family came back today, so I said goodbye in the afternoon and made sure they were well stocked up on water and food for the last time and stroked the bunny (a very soft bunny) it was nice and relaxing, but I will miss them.

Not really, I’m a bit dense about dreams. I’m guessing it was that scrying at Preston Manor was on my mind as was Ellen Stanford (there are pictures of her all over the house, so it’s hard to not register that on a sub-conscious level at least.) As to the the ex-Antix would be assassin, maybe that’s a reference to their investigation there and dwelling on that (I’m not quite sure why they changed their mind about killing me, though, why would me setting them up with a partner do the trick?)

Ah not for a while, I ought to before October, though. I’m going to Mary King’s Close with a very good friend and we’ll be investigating it (and asking about MH’s investigation there (I promise I will post up the juicy stuff.) 😉 This friend has also investigated the Edinburgh Vaults and told me about the guide telling him that they move the cursed stones around the vaults, so the circle is never in any one place for very long. Didn’t tell us that on MH, did they?
A lot of the places that MH have investigated have not been happy about the portrayal on TV, so we’ll both be fascinated to hear what they have to say about it.
Many Paranormal investigation groups have said the same, that MH are either very lucky, or it’s not all genuine. Worth noting, although a lot of places would think twice before letting MH back (I hear online that the staff at Michelham Priory are not happy about MH’s investigation because it makes it seem like there are mainly negative spirits there, when they do not think that is the case) a lot of the places do welcomed the interest that MH had stoked in the paranormal, and some historic houses that they have visited are strapped for cash, so the money generated from public ghost investigations helps them to keep the house standing, so that’s a good thing, although it’s up to the group to be respectful to the house and it’s inhabitants both living and dead. Some of the Paranormal Investigation groups met through the MH fandom and have some good groups going, so it’s by no means black and white.

It is very odd, scrying. I tried it in my home, which I am confident is not haunted, just to compare it to any haunted places, to see if I get the same results. I’ll see if I can find the diary entry and I’ll post it up. It is very odd staring at your own reflection that intently, you become detached from the image in front of you and it might as well be someone else, your eyes go in and out of focus, but your reflection is still staring at you, blank, expressionless. It is a very strange feeling.

Have you seen the ‘Bloody Mary’ episode of Supernatural? That was freaky, brilliant, but *freaky*.

This was confirmed when his partner tweeted about singing karaoke with “munmunkey” and I burst out laughing because a) it all fitted b) it’s sweet c) it’s funny and d) because I’m a bit of a giggler at the best of times (seriously, I get a lot of funny looks on the bus…)

David’s house does look nice from what I’ve seen of it (he did an interview in it for MH and he and his partners pictures of their fluffy babies are in/around it.)
Lol, I liked that puss in oven photo. They love being awkward, Artie’s just nearly ploughed through a collection of glass bottles and glasses on a table to get across the settee to her ping pong ball (she’s mayhem with that.) Luckily nothing smashed, I managed to divert her just in time.

I’ll let you know what happens if/when I call out, I tried a semi-scrying experiment, it wasn’t ideal, as I couldn’t close the curtains and light a candle and I didn’t have long, but it was sort of dark, so I might try on a darker day, not expecting it to be perfect, but maybe it will produce something? I am sceptical, as I know a lot about the building and the various ghosts reported there, also, it’s not set up for a proper scrying experiment.
The ‘result’ last time was that it looked, in my constantly shifting vision, like I was wearing something black with longer sleeves, but then at the time I was wearing navy blue, but I don’t know where the sleeve bit came in, probably my vision shifting. So the ‘result’ was not much, but it was enough for me to dream about scrying at PM a few nights later with Ellen Stanford’s face in the mirror. She spoke to me, but I don’t remember what she said or how she said it, she looked stern, but then people at the time did and she was wearing a long ruffled dark purple dress, her room was dark but lit by candlelight, that was different, as I didn’t do the experiment in her room when I was there, but it was interesting. Mind you, in the same dream, a man who claimed to be ex-Antix (no one I recognised) was trying to kill me, until I set him up with a partner and then he was so happy he didn’t want to kill me anymore, so I could do the scrying experiment in peace, and that’s when Ellen Stanford came into it. It was a bit of a weird one. Mind you, I’ve been having a few weird ones of late…

I’ve been looking after my boy Reggie again this week as well as next door’s Bunny and Guinea Pigs, it’s been quite an eventful week. Reggie has outdone himself recently, two dead mice waiting at his door that I wasn’t entirely sure what to do with, his family are back now and my neighbours are due back in the morning. Their bunny is so sweet, he loves attention and he comes up to greet me when I check on him and feed him, the guinea pigs are sweet, but they are shy, they’re just getting used to me. It’s nice to be spending time with all these animals, they are a very calming influence and they are treated like Kings. 😀

I don’t know too much about ‘nice’, I don’t know much about him, but one of the things I do know is about his fight with Jon Donnis, which I’ve gone into a bit more in Claire’s reply (trying to juggle two replies at once, but I’ll aim to get one up tonight, then the other when I get back from my voluntary tomorrow.)

Sunny is a lovely puppy, very cute David and his partner have many pictures of her.
I’d love to be a friend of David Wells, although, he might not want me to be his friend after finding out that, via deduction, about four months ago I figured out who his ‘moonmonkey’ is (after about half an hour of trying.) That might spook him a bit. :-/

Saw this for the first time the other night on pick TV and I must say I have never seen such unadulterated rubbish in my life, the whole “cast” (as I am sure it is all play acting) winding each other up screaming, making each other jump, what do they expect if they wander around in near darkness with people with no self control, though i guess its a nice money making machine for the production company…
