yeah JG series has been good didn’t enjoy the dowsing one but loved the witchcraft one fav so far

The book about positive thinking is very good look out for it, if you’ve had a bad experience with something picture scrunching the experience in to a ball then throwing it away like it’s in the past.

David Wells suggested this meditative exercise of actually entering the card and being with the character(s) in it and that might help learning it. It helped me to feel a bit more in tune with The Chariot. 🙂

I agree, she took to the tasks wonderfully. I wonder whether she still does any of them? A lot of writers use the Tarot/automatic writing to help them write, indeed this was why I got into the Tarot, but I’ve not got around to using it for that, yet. I am also curious to use automatic writing for names/themes/ideas for my own writing, see what comes of it. That ought to be interesting.

I’m sure Derek’s got a plan there, if the series was coming soon, or the Hallowe’en Live, then people would be remembering that he was in it and some who do not know why he left, will be very interested to read what happened, others will know what happened, but will be interested to read it from his POV and others will be looking for the blanks to be filled in about what was going on behind the scenes.
Can’t wait, it ought to be a very funny book.

Oh dear, don’t get me started on the dreams I’ve forgotten, I’m still trying to write a series of novels about the supernatural. Still not written more than the first two chapters of one and half of the first of another, the chapters aren’t big, but hopefully I’ll write more.

Dreams tell us so much about our minds (don’t know what a recent dream about waiting for the school bus at a roadside with Phil and Sara Whyman and a few others, going to school, only to find the teacher was having a heart attack and hurriedly getting his partner and all later bearing witness to their marriage/civil partnership before getting home and saying “you won’t believe the day I’ve had…” says about me, but hey ho…)

The experiences of mediums fascinates me, the way that they apparently sense things that are beyond regular sensory input, if it could be tested biologically, then it could potentially teach us so much more about the brain.
That’s my problem with Randi’s Million Dollar Challenge, if the stories are true, then psychics are treated like criminals before they’ve even got their coats off, I think if it were tested via biology, then it removes personal prejudices, conscious and unconscious, and it just seems more fair. If it is possible that psychics have the ability to use their minds in a way that non-psychic people can’t, then that would be incredible. Sorry, babbling again…

That is interesting and apparently colours do affect our minds, especially as children, so I can see that. I like the bright pink and white with a splash of yellow box my Prozac comes in. 🙂

Don’t worry about not knowing much about your Auntie, I was struggling for about 5 minutes to remember my second cousin’s name when I was writing to a friend, then about two weeks later, I realised I’d got that wrong too. I felt really bad. Thing is, we don’t get to see them often, as my cousin’s wife doesn’t seem to like us very much, so it’s only to be expected. I was only one letter out, so knowing my record it was impressive that I got that close!

Your trip to Greece sounded lovely. I’ve never been, but maybe one day I will, it’s on my list along with Edinburgh, Egypt, Berlin, Prague, and a few other places.

I’ve not got around to watching the clairvoyance episode yet, I’m looking forward to it. I saw the last episode and I saw Chris French, whom I recognised from several places before. I didn’t get to watch a lot of it, because it was on while I was doing something, but I did see a few moments of it. I really should concentrate, but I have so many things that need doing and not enough time to do them all. Always the way.

I’m very well, thank you, I’m hopeful about this job opportunity, applying for it, planning what I’m taking on holiday, getting a Dongle so that I can keep in touch, planning around the holiday dates and the potential interview and stealing odd moments to write a reply on a word processor, just to make sure it’s ok incase there is a problem.

I suppose with the Tarot, it’s difficult to shake the connotations that have been attached to them over the years that they are ‘evil’ and they are the way the Devil ‘speaks’ to us, etc… I don’t believe in all that, the only intimidating thing for me was the huge amount to learn! 😛

Yes, I saw Phil and Sara Whyman’s DVD, probably what triggered the dream, (although I fail to see any bus stops on roadsides, teachers in cardiac arrest or civil marriages taking place, but dreams are odd like that.) They’re really going all out on the advertising, but I suppose I can’t blame them for that, there’s an opportunity there, take it.
Their podcasts are available on Podbean. Dead Haunted Podcast and I think there are just over 20 of them on the website, which I think you can find through the Dead Haunted website.

Dead Famous is another series I keep meaning to watch at some stage.

That’s right, Yvette went into that panick attack/regression while attempting automatic writing at the return to Pendle Hill’s Lower Wellhead Farm. It made for uncomfortable viewing.

I’ve always thought that David Wells and Gordon Smith worked so well together, it was perfect. A lot of people did say that about the Live DVDs, that they suffered with the editing. :-/

It’s sad that they don’t want them, but they’ve dealt with so many, had so many fights with them, and all of whom say the same thing about the series, that I can’t see a medium who would touch them with a 20ft stick, too much grief.

I hope they will have a Hallowe’en Live, but after all this time for saying how slowly it’s going, he must be able to understand the slight scepticism that some fans have about a Hallowe’en Live.

Yes, I think the fact that he’s kept in touch with the fans is important, especially for them, they want to hear what’s going on, they want to talk to him and he’s there, so that’s good from that point of view at least.

I must say I’ve enjoyed the catch up (even though I have the attention span of a five year old, so it takes me about seven times longer to do it than it should…) Don’t worry about commenting on the post to Nikki, you can comment if you like (but beware, I think we have something like a seven posts per day limit, as after I’d clogged up the site, it wouldn’t let me post my apology for clogging it up and I thought “oh god, I’ve broken it again!” O.o )

I think it must have been easier to hack, the password could have been something MH related, so would have been easier to guess, I’m not saying that that was what happened, but it could have been.
Mind you, the mods on here have had a tough time of late with hackers, so it seems to be rife. 🙁
There’s a lot of rivalry between two in particular: The MHTNG page, run by out mutual friend Simon Healy, and the Most Haunted is Coming Back page run by Sarah Price-Turner and Jo Marsden. They’ve accused each other of bullying, harassment and have taken a fair few, more subtle, swipes at each other, to the point where Karl waded in a few months ago and lectured them about bullying and how he left that nonsense behind at school. (Really? I suspect a few ex-employees would beg to differ there.)
I’m so glad I’m not on FB, more trouble than it’s worth.

I can’t comment too much of G/Asylum, because I didn’t watch it, but from what you’ve said it doesn’t sound very respectful. 🙁

There have been rumours for so long that Yvette and Karl don’t like being upstaged, especially not by people who quickly become more popular than them (Derek, Richard, Gordon, David, etc…) Those two factors together, according to the rumours, fuel the ‘he/she has to go’ mentality.
I don’t think there’s that danger with Fred, I’m not being horrible and he does have his fans, but his behaviour has not endeared him to a lot of the fans. He also did not seem comfortable in his role and one of the many reasons that Richard was so popular was his excitement with his job, his enthusiasm was infectious and he was always a positive, happy influence, Fred just… isn’t. That’s all.
They are very good at what they do. I do enjoy reading up on what the ex-MH lot are up to, just to see that they’re well, happy and are they going to be coming to a place near me, if so when? An interesting chat between David Wells and a fan of his reads:

I know she has a lot of problems going on in her life, that doesn’t excuse her and the level of organisation there and I was very upset about it for a while, mainly about the loss of a few friends, but, tbh, the problem is hers, and now theirs, not mine. You’re right, he is the guy, “the Pharaoh” as that Chasing Mummies series called him, with his own TV show and clothing line. Or he was, rumour has it he was sacked in July 2011, he says he resigned, but the rumour is still there and he’s not in the job anymore. So now he won’t be peering over the shoulders of the archaeologists digging about in Egypt, which is good because hopefully now it won’t be as restrictive for them.

It’s quite funny seeing how outraged some of them get when they do debate the issue. XD

Hopefully the DNA evidence should get the lightbulb to come on eventually, it’s one of those “Oh…” moments that’s followed with immense excitement, there’s still a mystery, but there’s just a juicy detail added to the equation, like a Sudoku. 😀

Raise a glass to them on their birthdays and recall all the happy memories of times spent together. That’s how I remember mine (Nannie, Mum’s Mum, and Ray, Dad’s Dad, they met and got on quite well together, we went on holiday to the Isle of Wight with them both and so it’ll be great to go to all our favourite haunts together with memories when we go back there.) 🙂

It doesn’t make any sense. Maybe they’re just covering themselves, if a poster says “MH is coming back 2012” then people will think “oh great! Not long then” but if it says “MHTNG 2012” then that could be said to be because they’re only filming them in 2012 and buys them more time, maybe that’s it?

I set the petition up last year and I hope it’s been picked up, I did send it to him to retweet to his fans, nothing yet, though.
I read in an interview that Dan Akroyd has mild Asperger’s and mild Tourette’s, so that’s quite an interesting thing.

They won’t unfortunately, they’re too proud to admit their bad on that ones (or any of the others.) Shame, as it would really claw back some support for the series if they treated them properly this time.

I do envy them having that great love for the series, I wish I had that much love for a series, I used to, I adored Torchwood and MH, until problems came up with both and that kind of soured the love.

I was expecting something, some announcement, a big celebratory message dedicated to the fans, celebrating 10 years and some very kind words for the fans (as it is, there was a message, but it was quite small and although it was a nice enough one, it wasn’t as… I don’t know, it didn’t feel like their pre-Christmas message and others, it was more a nod than a celebration.)

He’s lovely, Midge Ure, that always comes across excellently. Looks very huggable too. 🙂 Ultravox are great. Ultravox and Sparks are my absolute favourites. 😀

Maybe they wouldn’t, but I’ve seen people who have had a really tough time of it, mine wasn’t so bad, but someone I know had lost a child a few years back and a group of loathsome scumbags were ridiculing her and her departed infant. It was horrendous, I can’t imagine what that must have been like for her, going through all of that, then these vile, odious people attacking her over it just because they didn’t agree with her viewpoint on something.

I watched dvd 2 last night ooo it was a good un.
Again 2 mediums David & Ian. Great fun Portsmouth, again 3 locations.
You now its gonna be good when David says oooo (in a scarey voice)” The min i came in here a voice said, H e l l o David”. He then said, its never good when they know your name, or some remark. Everyone had the mega creeps brilliant!!!!
Richard F was on the investigation with Lesley in the studio (guess that was the beginning of the end for him eh?) Lesley was very good though, Paul R, 1st time must say he hit the ground running. Said after “have to say i have never been so exhausted after a job” may have been patter?? but was effective lol.
Anyway Richard had an 8th century cross ripped and broken (oops) from around his neck ooooo.
Ian & Karl were burried alive on night 2, omg. Yvette gleefully scatterring dirt on the windows of the giant coffin, oh what a delightfully macabre pair they are, match made in heaven or mmmm eh?? lol

David done his Wolfman pose 2 or 3 times. Oh i love it when he makes claws of his hands bears his teeth and lunges. At one point our Yvette nealy had a heart attact when he lunged at her lolololol
Karl went off on one (not spirit related of course, what else well your guess is as good as mine mm???) Anyway he was acting really mean and hard stomping about like cock of the north. Chest puffed eyes a bulging….. decked Stuart, did not see it but think he got a punch in the guts!!!!!. Said sorry to Stuart who just brushed it off, all in the name of science eh????
Ciaran fell out with Ian in the studio while Steve Parsons was out with the team.
Enjoyed both dvds so far……ooooo i need a live…….. but oh what is it going to be like without a medium they really are the heart and soul of mh.

All in all the 2nd dvd was edited much better than the 1st but so far so good.
