Not at all, I think the problem is that the written word is often ambiguous in tone. I was not angry or upset, I meant what I said in a matter of fact way. The tone of Simon’s P.S. was passive-aggressive and I just wanted to know what I’d done to justify it, or if it was even me it was aimed at, because if it wasn’t, then it’s a matter between Simon and that friend, and does not involve me. He could offer no explanation, so I am still none the wiser as to what it is I was supposed to have said. He also challenged me to “say it to [his] face,” so I did, he didn’t like it, so he snapped at me and flounced off.
I am slightly baffled as to why my reply is seen as sensitive at the side of Simon’s replies. I never got aggressive, I tried to reason with him, but he didn’t want to be reasoned with. I would have tried to explain why I said what I’d said, the remark that had obviously upset him, if he was willing to tell me what that was, but unfortunately he wasn’t.

He does, and that’s fair enough, and he does have problems in his life, but that does not justify the rudeness in his last response, everybody has problems in their lives. When I’m under stress, I keep offline for a few days so that it minimises the risk of lashing out at someone online.
It’s perfectly alright, and thank you, my friends are very important to me and I value your opinion. 🙂

Aww… Thank you, that’s really very kind of you. 🙂 I jeep meaning to make time to write, as I have a few projects on the go at the moment, the one I’m furthest along with is the Torchwood/Paranormal Activity one, the ‘Supernatural’ series, but I have plenty of others, including a Most Haunted/Doctor Who crossover involving the Weeping Angels (if I can find the snippet I wrote about it out of my mind, then I’ll post it up here.) Hopefully it will have some of the atmosphere of Blink. 😀

Well I am very relieved that the Vatican have announced that the world is in fact NOT going to end on 21st…if the Pope says it then it MUST be true …LOL, what a load of complete bosh, I feel really sorry for the believers out there, they must be terrified out of their wits, just shows you what a world we live in….modern communication is sometimes a terrible thing, I looked at some of the stuff on youtube that is going around and I suppose if you are the type of person who believes in such things, then it can be quite compelling.

Karl and Yvette have to accept any good or bad publicity as they are in the media business and know how it all works.
Mary Beattie is an innocent child and people shouldn’t bring her into the arguement and i can understand now why karl was so angry.

as Simon said, he is a big boy and can look after himself, yes if things go wrong then i’m sue we will all be very sad for him and be there for him , but to talk about his downfall at this stage when he is so happy is not right.

Vicky, your explanation of Incubbus and Succubus was very interesting and seems very credible …. the church has very long reaching arms doesn’t it ?…. I enjoyed reading it 🙂

While they have an interest in keeping him sweet and on side, giving them support and publicity for free, it will be fine, but beware, remember what happened to the others in the past, it could go very wrong one day and it could end very badly for him. TBC.” I have been mates with yvette and karl oer the past 2 years and they treat me with the highest respect and I know exactly what is happening for the future,so please dont judge until you know exactly what is what. I am very close to yvette and karl,a lot of people hate that but it dont boter me i am able to stand on my own two feat. Good to see you and Tracey on the Everything Ghost Forum, it’s one that Ken found back in March and the people who run and contribute to the site have become good friends, There’s the chat every Friday, if you get the chance to come.
The forum that our other friends made has had to take a bit of a back seat as one of the members has had severe problems with her health and other problems in her life on top of that, so she’s not been online in a long time and she can’t reply to the emails we’ve sent her for whatever reason, so we don’t know what is happening to her, which is very concerning. 🙁

I’m fascinated by the EVPs, as MKC does not get any interference because of where it is underground and secure and nobody had their phone out, and even if they did, the guide group asked us to turn them off before we went down into the close, so there would not have been any interference from them (probably no signal down there anyway) so I’m stumped as to what could have caused them. They were the first EVPs I’d been able to make anything out from first time on a few of them, EVPs are often very difficult to hear and very open to interpretation and once a suggestion is made it’s difficult to hear anything else. Of course, we got the standard “get out” and later in another part, a slightly ruder “b****r off… f**k off!” Poor Ken. XD Mind you, he was right, what do you expect bursting into someone’s toilet in the small hours of the morning, bad enough him not having any paper…

Re: The pictures, in the one of the two mannequins, there is a third on the floor and I think there was fake blood on the floor, so that might be what you can see there.

The travel to Edinburgh depends on how you prefer to travel, by train or plane, we flew with EasyJet and that cost roughly £300 with a return ticket for the four of us, but you’re a bit nearer, so you might prefer to go by train, the vigil itself was just over £50, but vigils can be anything north of that, but £50 to £60 is the average.

I noticed a comment by Jon Gilbert on that pic, but it was gone a bit later, wonder why? :-/

They say he lived there with his family, but here’s something that bugs me, if Fred’s the reincarnation of this Templar Knight, then what happened to his family? Hey, maybe Simon was his son? 😛

Re: Incubi and Succubi, I think they were an important part of the Church’s mythology, in the same way that the virgin birth is. Sex was a wicked, dirty and lustful act, we say someone wants to “have [their] wicked way” with someone and other phrases humorously, but when the church was a very powerful force within the country, they needed to control people to keep them devout. One of the ways they did this was through stigmatising human impulses like the desire to have sex with whoever. The Virgin Mary was a virgin, she was pure, clean, not a dirty whore and it was important to show that the mother of Jesus was such a figure. She was an unachievable standard of purity for women. Incubi and Succubi are different, they are sexually predatory beings, they are defined by their want for sex, they were demonic and they were evil. This demonising of sex allowed them to repress their followers, but the repression manifested in other ways too. Attacks can be explained by erotic dreams and lack of understanding of wet dreams and “morning wood”, so the church filled in the gaps in the minds of the impressionable boys, explaining them as attacks by Succubi who wanted to beget demonic offspring by them. As to women, if a young woman or girl ‘mysteriously’ became pregnant, it would be explained away by an attack by an Incubus, who had impregnated her. The reality was, she had probably been raped by someone known to her, a family friend or even family member and was pregnant because of this. The children of these attacks were often deformed, so they said, lack of understanding of such conditions like Cretinism meant that people viewed them as being something that was not entirely human, so they must be demonic.
So, to summarise, I think that these attacks are stories that were used to repress the people of the day and they have endured throughout the years because, up until quite recently, the church was an incredibly powerful force around Europe. That’s not to brush off the experiences, as I do think that they can be very traumatic for some.
Anyway, that’s just my tuppence worth. Sorry, the church aren’t coming across too well there and I’m sorry if I’ve offended anyone’s beliefs, but that did happen.

@Tracey: Chris’ operation was on his hand, but I’m not sure what happened, I think he’s ok, though (he did not like the anesthetic, he was out of it for a few days.) The message Claire found that Chris sent to his daughter was so sweet, bless. 😀
They seriously mis-treated him on MH, it was incredibly difficult to watch, especially how sad it was making him and how casual they could be about taking swipes at him. Lesley’s “Chris is going to have to try a bit harder with the spirit world,” Fred’s remark that “the crook appears to people who aren’t protected” swiping at Chris’s protection of Paul, he had been protected, but clearly Chris’s protection wasn’t good enough, not like a demonologist who couldn’t banish the demon he supposedly summoned properly. [eye roll] Problem is, almost everyone there was having a go at him in one way or another, even if they were just turning a blind eye to it, they still did nothing to help him.
At least Chris is happy now. He deserves it. 🙂
I’d have loved to have seen Chris and Richard together on Psychic and Science, they seemed to have a real rapport on the Youtube clips I’ve seen, and I wish the pilot ep was released, even as a webisode on IPlayer. Also, Richard was filming with Derek a while back, there are pics on the FB page, and he’s got *the* coat back out, his black leather one. 😀

Rant perfectly valid. They’d crucify mediums who did half of what they do. Karl and Stu act possessed, their bluff is never called, but a medium does the same and they call them a fraud. It’s double standards.

Charlie B: I cannot fault your logic, they keep promising it’ll be “coming soon” since 2011, then it was MHTNG 2012, then it was 2013 will be the year of MH, this week it was “MH coming sometime in 2013…” Would that be the 31st of Octember, Simon? 😉 I know it would take time, but it’s been a year since the last episode of MH was released and two years and nine months since the last MHL. I think fans have the right to ask “so what exactly *have* you achieved in all this time?”

Epic Scroll Time! 😀

Firstly, I’m so sorry about my extended absence, we’ve not had a great deal of time lately and my health, has not been brilliant, in the past month, I’ve spent more time in my PJs than out, with likely PMDD filling the gap between colds, it’s getting to the stage now where I’m scared about what might happen to me, so I’m having to potentially make a very big and very final decision about how much longer I can cope with it. The cold came back in full force Sunday night, sneezing, coughing, sore throat. Got through half a box of tissues and could smell blood by the time I went to bed, woke up at 2pm yesterday with dry blood around my nose, aching all over and my chest hurts when I cough or breathe. Still, at least the cat won’t leave me alone. Good ol’ Doctor Artie slept on my legs for a while until I got out of bed. Please don’t be too mad at me. xxxx

Two weeks until Christmas! 😀 (well 13 days 21 hours and 45 minutes) to Christmas!!! 😀 I’m getting very excited now, we decorated the tree this week and we can’t wait to be sat next to it with Whiskey Macs watching Christmas films on the telly and I only need to wrap one more present and that’s me sorted. 🙂

We visited our little pup, Dexter a few weeks ago and his mother and brothers, they are black and white Shih Tzus and they’re so adorable. We all played with the pups and we eventually picked one, but they were all so sweet that it was very difficult, but we decided on the one that was very much at home curled up up on my brother’s lap, nestled in his coat. So now we know who Dexter is, and took plenty of pictures of him and his brothers, we can’t wait to take our boy home of the 10th/11th January. 😀
It was a long trip, though. The breeder was based in Essex, so we had to set off at 7am and we got home at about half 12. Artie was not impressed by the smell of dogs, but she has always known a dog, so she wouldn’t react too badly to Dexter when he comes home (we hope.) We’ll send a flannel to the breeder for Dexter to have and then she’ll send it back here so that we can have it in the house for the cat to get used to the scent of Dexter before he arrives.

You should see Lesley as Nell Gwynn, that is quite something. She obviously loves dressing up and I don’t blame her, I love a good fancy dress do, I loved dressing as Hathor at Halloween (her motto was very much “eat, drink and be merry”), we only got one trick or treater and I didn’t feel too well, so I had to give up the fancy dress for a nice warm bath, but still, it was fun while it lasted. 🙂
Much as I hated Lesley’s snotty comment to Chris “Chris will have to try a bit harder with the spirit world” and her helping the others to undermine and humiliate David Wells, she was helping the team use the occult behind his back and David was despairing, I don’t believe that she’s a nasty woman, I just think that she could and should have handled both of those situations better, but then, so could Ciaran, as he stood in the circle and spoke the words against David’s advice and he also made a statement about Chris online, but there’s evidence that Ciaran at least tried to make it up to them and they remain on good terms.

It was frustrating, that was why I asked what year it was during the EVP experiment, the medium wasn’t able to give anything that specific, so I hoped that the EVP would bring a year to light. Turns out, Ken did hear something which I tried to research, but nothing came up, but then, the records were far from complete then, and a lot was lost through time; or if he was there and trying to communicate, maybe it’s because he wasn’t noticed or recorded officially when he was alive because of his situation, if he were homeless, for instance, he would not necessarily have been recorded if he lived largely on the street and was dosing near to Mary King’s Close when he died. Of course, it could be a different name that we misheard, we don’t know.
It also caused a twinge of irritation when the medium was telling us about the woman who was trying to come through during the transfiguration experiment and was very upset that we couldn’t see her, but the fact was I couldn’t see anything and that felt like an attempt to guilt trip us into ‘seeing’ something we couldn’t really see and I wasn’t going to pretend, because that undermines what you’re trying to achieve.
That said, it was a very enjoyable evening, at times a bit flat, but I’d definitely recommend it. 🙂

Bodies are buried 6ft underground so that they can’t be exposed easily by weather or scavengers, so that doesn’t seem to fit. 6ft down in a wooden coffin a fully grown adult takes roughly 28 years to decompose completely, that’s why murderers often use shallow graves near country roads, the bodies decompose quicker due to the exposed conditions, the oxygen in the freshly turned soil, the easy access for scavengers, etc… I watched a very informative documentary about forensic police detectives in training, the first lecture was on death and decomposition, it’s designed to show and tell them, via pictures (blanked out to the viewers) and the lecture of the horrible reality of forensic detective work and what they would be likely to see while they were on the job, as that’s what they would be signing up to. That’s the lesson that most of the people who couldn’t hack it realise that.
I can see a parallel with Egypt, though, they believed that the Jackals were guardians of the dead, because they haunted the cemeteries, but the reality was, they often went into the cemeteries by night to dig up the bodies for food and were protective of that food source as it was the only regular food they could get.
I told you I was a morbid young person. I’d be great at ghost walks. >:)

Orbs, I am still very sceptical, Ken collected plenty, but his flash came on automatically, mine only did the once (I think I clicked something) and that was the one photo I got an orb on, so clearly the flash is very important when finding orbs, for whatever reason.

I have Tinnitus too, so does my Dad, it can be a very difficult thing to have sometimes. The ringing sound gets louder and louder as soon as you pay it any attention, that’s why I have to have background noise, otherwise I can’t think clearly. 🙁 We were all sat completely still for at least the first few, towards the end, some people had to shift a bit as the floor was very uncomfortable. I was completely still during the recordings, at the end, I had a dead leg. Nobody really made a sound, though, maybe the odd rustle towards the end, and there was no interference from radio signals or anything like that, as the Close is sealed off. It is very mysterious.

I had fun reading Simon’s paragraphs on the vigil at the Clockhouse, but the thing that really leapt out at me was the amount of times he said Fred and Karl’s names in on paragraph. In a paragraph of 98 words, ‘Fred’ is mentioned three times and ‘Batt’ twice, and next to the text is a picture of Fred alone, then one of him with Karl (‘Karl’ mentioned twice and ‘Beattie’ once) in the next one. Very interesting. Anyway, just a fun fact. 😉
Seemed convenient that they got sidetracked while they were supposed to be investigating, makes me wonder about the aim of the night. The episode at The Clockhouse was not particularly eventful (yet it, and Caesars, still scored 4/5 on Antix’ haunted rating system for some reason [wink wink]) yet they suggested it as a location to investigate with their fans, so them getting sidetracked struck me as convenient. Also, they had a chance to talk to the fans, what was said and about whom? How much was said? I don’t know.

Well, that’s a dream come true for Simon, congratulations to him. I hope the reality lives up to his dream.
I still take exception to his comment about how “there are lots of people out there who would be nothing without MH, but that’s my opinion,” though. Who was that aimed at? All the people I can think of were already respected among the paranormal community before their life-ruining experiences with MH…
This vigil, and his involvement in the team, clearly meant the world to Simon and I’m pleased he had his dream come true, but I would still advise caution to him. While they have an interest in keeping him sweet and on side, giving them support and publicity for free, it will be fine, but beware, remember what happened to the others in the past, it could go very wrong one day and it could end very badly for him. I can’t believe it about Brian….. I’m so sorry that he feels so bad and is obviously in a very dark place…… but i’m sorry…….what a selfish thing to do to his family, especially his daughter 🙁 i’m sure he is a very lovely man, but , you just don’t treat your loved one’s like that.

Not much that can be said about that other than it’s incredibly sad and I hope they find Brian, for his daughters’ sakes as much as his own.

How windy is it at the mo ,Tina and fudge are in the kitchen in their hutch at the moment as it is far too windy outside as i live on a moor v rurally open brrrr , still no sign of snow but heres hoping for a flake or thousand.

P/witness and GA sound ace so a weekend of them then and perception with a roaring fire going and a mug of warm coffee! oh yes but i promise to put the mug down when p/witness comes on dont want to scald meself!!!!
Get yr strictly shoes on 4 morrow i have given up on Xfactor a long time ago, i really think it’s lost it’s appeal now and maybe time to either give it a huge face lift or shun it , strictly is far better entertainment you only have to look at the ratings to know why.
