    A very good afternoon to everybody. I hope that you’re all having a good Monday. The weather here is terrible – high winds and pouring rain…. too bad I’m afraid to take my last bike ride before we disappear off to Spain early tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to the break – it’s been hectic since returning from our summer holiday there. I’m looking forward to seeing whether the orange treats are in fruit – December is the time for the citrus trees to be laden. I won’t be away for too long and will be back in time for my final show for the True Vision Tour and in fact for 2012 at The Assembly Rooms, Tamworth on 7th December next.
    The weather patterns are so extreme at the moment – I can’t remember a time like it. My thoughts go out to everybody who has been affected by the flooding.

    When i said i studied Parapsychology & Sociology …….. well that was a down right lie lol !!!! complete accident (honest) …. think i have Parapsychology on the brain lol.
    It was a Psychology & Sociology course mmmm anyhow being a shy gal i remember the Presentations we had to do yikes …….. The Psychiatrists and Psychologists liked me ?????? i thought they were nuts!!!! nice but nuts … kinda found my voice in that class 😉 like you do sometimes when someone says something and you think WHAT????? Jaw dropping moments for my classmates, i can tell you it was like oooo it speaks lmao 🙂

    My point exactly just how many people have there own private story quite a lot i’m thinking!

    I think there are two kinds of people who tell of their paranormal experiences, those that tell the truth and those that eggaerate things that have happened….. I don’t like to think that anyone would tell a bare faced lie about something like that. I have noticed that many people who actually have witnessed terrifying things don’t always come forward and talk about it…like you say, in fear of ridicule and disbelief.

    If there was no spirit world then why have people’s experiences been written and told for thousands of years ? I don’t believe that some ancient attention seeker thought one day…” I know, I’ll pretend I saw a ghost ” !!!! It just doesn’t work like that.

    I once worked with a very eminent archaeologist, he was the most level headed man you could meet, we were digging up a section of land next to an old priory, looking for part of the cloisters which were buried, this man saw what he described as a “monk”, dressed in black standing by the doorway of the priory, he left the site and never came back…he was in charge of the dig…..he was visibly shaken…. a lifelong sceptic….

    how do you explain such things ? he wouldn’t have just left for no reason… makes you think x

    My friends, we were contacted a while ago by Shane Harris, a fellow paranormal investigator whose wife, Sara, was also an investigator. Sara became ill after investigating a private residence. After a nearly month-long fight for her life, we were informed that Mrs. Harris was put on a life support system, and around 12:30pm today, Mrs. Harris passed away here just outside Raleigh, NC. Her untimely demise reminds us all of the real-world dangers of investigating. While we were keeping everyone alert over her status throughout the weekend, we received many other reports of similar incidents across the continent. Mr. Harris wants to share his wife’s story, but this is also a time for him to grieve. We here in PRS would like to offer our deepest sympathies to Mr. Harris. His story has touched us, and he has decided to come on PRS Radio tomorrow night to tell us his wife’s story. All of us who have dedicated some part of our lives to investigating the unknown understand that the dangers in this field are plentiful. We have lost one of our own today. She put herself in harms way to contribute to this field. As I wrote a few months ago, I feel the imagery of a candle in the dark is a fitting symbol to an investigator’s passing. Please light a candle in the dark for Mrs. Harris, and pray for Mr. Harris and family in your own way tonight.

    I get whats wrong with religion, ……..’religion is the opiate of the masses’ etc ……………..but not everyone in religion imo is as black as the garb they wear……………. although admittedly some does have a lot of bad press. But for all the trouble it causes………… it also gives comfort to a lot of people……..
    I have read that much now…….. i’m not sure what God is anymore but s\he ?? is still there…….

    Anyway let me just say i have watched that ep of The Haunted Demonic Seduction ……… boy oh boy what a freaky story!!!! But also quite convincing backed up with lots of physical evidence.

    See it to believe it very healthy !! I am like that to a point …….. these 1st hand accounts stories for me are really compelling.

    I find it so sad that all these people who are experiencing paranormal activity etc Are laughed at discredited …………. at best they are labelled ……. troubled,…….. at worst they are accused of lying. 🙁
    They are in some cases traumatised and before they start to tell there tale they all but apologise and try to convince people they are sane 🙁 …..and traumatised people, with weird tales are…… well…….. its not a good mix 😉 …… so i do see the sceptics point of view ……
    Thing is for me something is happening …….. they are not all lying or mad and do not deserved to be humiliated or mocked ………… and paranormal activity is very real, imo i think all these non believers are in some way control freaks ? you know ? who are scared sh*tless of something they dont understand ……and so they spend a lot of there time insulting and or condescending scared people,….. and also, they have to convince the masses or should i say frighten? them into the…. ‘look be sensible dont believe this and be a nut job’ as well ? Wish i could explain it better hmmm
    I love the stories where Doctors Police etc who are also total rolleye sceptics ….. who….. then go on to have there own paranormal encounter 😉 …….. you know who else could do with one Derren B 😀 to name but one 😉

    I dont believe EVERYTHING you know?…… even watching that Demonic Seduction ep i did think that the screaming could be a female Fox ? …. depending on the time of year though ……… also lol there are actual liars that tell stories but for me not all of them are. You know, just because it happened to someone else doesnt mean it didnt happen 🙂

    That sounds scary ….. its no joke when paranormal stuff is going on ????????? Thing is how many more people??? are having allsorts of different experiences that we never hear about really when you look at it like that we have only just scratched the surface!
    Anyway i’m so glad your out of there and in a new house 🙂 One Aunt & Uncle of mine live in a Caravan its lovely but when they were just married there first Van was haunted …… fires……breathing…..scratches etc l only recently found out about it …… now they are sane cool lovely people not prone to exaggerating etc 😉 They done some history and the previous owner was a Gypsy and an awful man by all accounts when he was alive……… they just passed the problem on to someone else and got another Caravan 🙁

    The answer to this is YES, of course, that is part of the job, not accepting always what is assumed, I guess that is where my questioning personality started !!! Archaeology is quite like ghost hunting, we use science to help prove facts, ie, dendrochronology, magnetronometry etc, we are always finding new ways to prove the existence of “past people” a lot of it is guess work and as time goes by we learn more and can find out more.

    Brill stuff there ….. dendrochronology????? magnetronometry???? omg 1st 1 sounds like a Scotsmans man cave 😀 Oh yes there is lots to find out!…… imo yikes 😉 there timeline is way off

  • @Claire….I agree with you about the Scole experiment…wow that blew me away…if what they have said is 100% true then they have gone further than anyone else in proving spirit and afterlife exist….

    Everyone seemed very credible and some of the stuff they did ( the camera film ) was amazing. it was very believable , like you said,Dr ( not so wise) wiseman was a bit lost for words and just parrotted all the same old things and scientific mumbo jumbo that he always does….couldn’t disprove anything though could he ??

    First….I am not clever…lol, I scaped through my degree and am in no way learned ..lol, perish the thought :)…you guys talk alot more sense than me.

    There’s no spiders or flys either, I just say as I feel, I have so many questions that I love talking about and I really value your thoughts and ideas on the subject of the paranormal….I guess i’m a “see it to believe it ” kinda gal !!!!! saying that, I do believe there is something out there.

    My interest in the paranormal started a long time ago …about 20 yrs when things started happening in my old house, it started when my son who was 5 at the time, saw a man throwing a ball in my kitchen….he was astounded that the ball didn’t break the french doors as it went through them…not that there was a strange man in the kitchen !!!! the children saw about 4 different spirits in the house, we heard noises had taps on and off, gas rings turned on etc……

    This went on until we moved out last year.:(

    One of the reasons i’m an ex archaeologist is because I didn’t agree with what was considered “correct” by many of my colleagues, ie, anything that is not understood in the archaeological world is considered to be “Ritual”, I also found it hard to agree with the practise of digging up graves etc.

    Sorry i gotta ask……… when… or…. since you were,…. how do you say…. on site?… on…. the field ???……… did you ever question the official timeline of, the history of the world ????????

    WOW that’s a lot of food for thought (obssessed with food!) but it is , hey Claire as i was reading yours and Debby’s post i thought exactly the same as you that Debby and Vicki would have a lot in common or such a good conversation , well i’m enjoying the theories , and this plane to be “Hell” as it were is plausible what with murders,abductions,paedophillia,sanctions,rules etc do i need to go on …. maybe not it’s nearly ruddy advent nik and your talking like a mad woman depressed!!!, ….. but it does make you think eh?
    OMG i haven’t watched all of it Claire but the ep of GA in Virginia with evp of the cowboy WOW it sounds almost too real , but boy i think that has to be one of the most impressive, i’ve got that one then another GA p witness to watch but sadly didn’t tape both BOO last nights strictly and celeb and last one of perception as well also Amityville 2 on Halloween , i’ll try and watch some today.

  • @Nicky…… By the way, i also believe that this plane we are now on could be “hell” and that we could be reincarnated over and over again until we get “things right” here, then we get to go to the next dimension to stay, that is the only way I can understand why so many “good” people die young, perhaps they have fulfilled the requirements needed, it is such an interesting topic and one I am really interested in. 🙂

    I used to be an Archaeologist and when I studied for my degree I learnt a lot about religion, beliefs and rituals of the past…ie, we have all heard the saying ” mother earth” well the mesolithic people, it is believed, really though that the earth they lived on was the mother and they believed that “red Ochre” in the ground was actually the blood of the mother, so they covered their dead in “red Ochre”, the Neolithic people worshipped the sun, and the constellations for their God, as did the Egyptians, the Mayans and the Inkas, they built pyramids, stonehenge and other monuments for their worship. The Bronze age and Iron age people thought that the next dimension ( Heaven ?) was through water, so they threw swords, pottery and anything of worth to the Gods as an offering into water. They also sacrificed people and put them into water, Hence the bog bodies that have been found. The Romans believed in many Gods for different reasons and even days of the week.

    This goes on and on until we reach Christianity,

    I believe that we as humans have to believe in something, a God, something who has made us, can protect us, nurture us and keep us under control. This has been the case since the beginning of us as Humans.

    I don’t know the answers and if I think too hard about it all I scare myself, I think we are never supposed to know what is out there in whatever dimension there may be, maybe that is the best way. We get tiny little snippets of what could be the answers to our questions, like you say, people who have died and come back to life, alien abductions, tales of reincarnation, ghost sightings etc but I think that is all we will ever get.
    The only thing we have today that is different from people before is SCIENCE but that causes as many questions as it answers…..ramble over !!!

    For example i dont know if you seen Bio’s Beyond & Back about dying and coming back to life ? or have read about the subject but it just occurred to me ….. they talk about a life review and how it changes them …. so is it safe to assume that everyone that dies has there own review?….. feels everything knows everything ???
    Then i thought about the lovely Sally M and how she comes out with messages for family ….. which are very compelling and it feels so true. Why do relatives not come through with messages of the life review etc … is it because the spirits that do come are in limbo and have not moved on ?? Sorry for blabbing here…… it has occurred to me before but when you put the importance of a life review side by side ……. a lost ring etc ….well it kinda ? ….. then again Sally blows my mind and gives family just what they need to hear and evidence so ???

    Anyway re sexual encounters with spirits…. well that link you provided is a heart breaking story ….. there was one on celeb ghost story recently too ….. most parapsychologists would say it was simply a dream ….. for me .. well i think something is happening to them … and it is not from anything nice 😉

    Lack of conscience is said time and again when relating to evil doers ….. but then you hear the bad folks say sometimes a voice told me to do it ?……. are twisted compulsions really just urges or is something else going on? James V P says that the living, if prone to such thoughts are encouraged on by like minded deceased people ……. plausible ?
    I read a book by Colin Wilson and he tells a story of when psychiatric patients were given the experimental drug LSD in the 60’s (hope i have remembered that right) Anyway he was interviewing a shy girl …… when he was left alone with her she turned to him and in a voice that was not her own growled and said ‘this one is mine’

    I could go on and on fascinating subject …. and i hope i have made sense …… but i have to go for now i will be back though xxx

  • Maybe if Karl stopped making false claims – ie “We’ll be back bigger and better than ever next year to take back Halloween”, people wouldn’t need to make stuff up. That quote was from 2011 of course and it never happened with no explanation about why or what’s currently going on.

  • What the hell is Karl having a strop about? Like Debby says, if he was a bit more upfront with news etc, maybe the people on facebook he’s talking about wouldnt feel the need to make it up? Honestly the people involved in the paranormal remind me of the people involved in the UFO stuff years ago – all cliquey, forming groups, backstabbing, backbiting and falling out. No need for it at all.

    Claire, just to say that the Ghost Adventures documentary – which was their first foray into filming the paranormal, caught an AWESOME piece of activity – which involved a flying brick.
    Will try and find it for you.
    Okay have found a bit of it – lots of bad language in it (unusual for them), so be warned please.
    The brick flying across room is about 2 minutes in – left hand side of screen, near bottom and its very quick, but it moves right across the screen.

    mmm a demon mm well maybe you have a good theory there for someone who was bad in life but if you believe in reincarnation like i do how do they become bad?? and do they remain that way every time??? and the same for good ?? one of life’s puzzlers , i like to believe in say a heaven so if i do does that make me believe in a hell?? or is this plane what we call earth hell??? i’ve been watching too much perception that’s my trouble , but it does make you wonder do angels exsist? if they do surely demons do?? i believe for every good action theres a bad action taking place

  • Just watched the Haunted from last night…..now THAT is a scratch mark !!! The screams from the woods were really eirie and disturbing…. but sex with a spirit ??? If a spirit was a sexual predator in life, can it be also in death ? a succubus ? a female entity who prays on men? a demon/ dark entity who thrives on lust ? …….. i don’t know….what do you all think ? Maybe the man just had erotic dreams ?……

    What is a demon? a fallen angel ? someone who was evil in life ? I don’t understand, I guess if you believe in good then there must be bad, but if you believe in “GOD”, i thought he forgives everyone, although I don’t really believe in religion…..sorry for my rambling, just wondered what you all think 🙂

    Claire, I understand what you mean re Karl and his outburst. I guess when you are in the media business you are going to get comments on fb/ twitter etc. What do they say about all news is good news, at least people WANT to guess about things, maybe if Karl etc gave us a bit more news, people wouldn’t have to guess so much…..I don’t know, anyway i’m waffling….again lol.

    Yes i am interested in UFO’s, my bro is obsessed with them, he’s always sending me links to the latest sightings…. there is def something out there, but I guess, as in the spirit world, maybe will will always have to wonder. Some of the evidence is quite compelling though.

    I’m glad i’m not the only one who was embarrassed for Derek re the Michael Jackson seance, I like to think the best of people, but that was awful….cringe cringe cringe !!!!!

    really enjoying all the para tv on at the moment, my god, watched The Haunted about the theatre last night, in the dark, on my own about 12 am, I nearly jumped off the couch when the spirit left his seat and appeared right in front of the camera !!!!!!!

    Hmmmmm yeah must be a lot of pressure … But i have to tell you when i first read it i was quite taken aback ….. as over the time here we found some stuff out and have discussed some things that he may not like …… but in saying that …..we back up what we are saying you know we dont just say it to be nasty.

    I think Derek is writing a tell all biography as he was on about talking to his lawyers, but hey.. it might not be a tell all ? If Karl feels so bad, and it seems he does he should write a book from his side !!!

    I do not wish any of them harm if it wasnt for mh we would prob not have any para tv….. but i do stand by my posts even though i do not know them personally …. you hear things you know ??? and until such time as we get all sides of the story …. well …… i dont know how Karl is going to silence forum users. 🙁
