Living TV has finally released the rights to Most Haunted back to Karl Beattie and Antix Productions. This means Karl could now take the show to another TV station.
The statement from Living TV said: “We have decided not to recommission Most Haunted and will be giving Antix Productions the right to take it to another channel if they wish,” Sky Living said. “We would like to thank Yvette Fielding and Karl Beattie for all of their hard work and commitment over the years.”
The statement continued: “Like every commercial TV channel, Sky Living is constantly developing new ideas. We recognise our customers’ appetite for paranormal programming and have recently aired a series about popular psychic Sally Morgan and original scripted drama Bedlam, which proved to be the channel’s most successful commissioned series in its history.
“As well as paranormal, the channel will build on other successful genres, from scripted comedy to real-life relationships, which we know our customers also enjoy.”
The news was posted on Karl Beattie’s Facebook and in the Sun Newspaper.

SkyLiving has decided not to re-commission MH which is sad news, however, we have been given our rights back, so we can go to other broadcasters with it. I think that a new home and better investigation techniques will move MH into the next phase making it bigger and better than ever. GHOST-busting show Most Haunted has been axed by Sky Living – a year after Yvette Fielding quit.
The channel will return the programme rights to production company Antix, run by Yvette, 42, and husband Karl Beattie.
A spokesman said Sky Living will focus on other paranormal TV, including psychic Sally Morgan’s show and drama Bedlam.
On 27th October 2011, Karl Beattie announced via his Facebook profile;
“Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to get a programme sorted for halloween, getting all the rights back took much longer than first thought. But we are back now, next year we will be looking to go bigger and better than ever before and we will take halloween back.
We are about to sign a very exciting deal with a very large company to take Most Haunted to the next level. So watch this space. And thanks for all of your support and undying loyalty, which in this industry is a very rare thing indeed, thank you all it means so much.”
@claire can u remember what we said about MH and credability due to the many mediums they have gone thru is anyone giving them the time of day because of this i hope not.

Dont have Facebook but MH do apparently…. so whats the hold up from giving us some more updates. They must have made some progress with a channel\medium etc at least. Because if they dont it is a worry.

Looks ok Extreme Hauntings but i bet they put it on a channel that not every body as got. unless im missing something and its already on a channel ?. Hope we are going to hear something soon about MH it looks like we are in for a boring Halloween.( boo hoo )

hi everyone it’s just phil wyman and team doing tour of gainsborough lincoln, then there’s a whole list after where there going brought some devil wings for my daughter and a spooky ghost to hang up that we’ve named BOB! we always decorate the house for halloween the week before and i’m always adding bits as i go, it’s been a favourite event of mine since a child but sadly alas no MH to watch with a glass of red wine and tortilla chiips to round the whole evening off.

Hi Nikki Yes they have done a lot of damage in there Witch Hunt it must be hard to have to take that feel for her.
Re my Cat he is great but the Vet wants to remove his eye. He is 15 and i find it hard to be rational as i fear the whole thing might be too hard for him to cope with. What gets me is his eye is just a little larger than his ok eye (which happens to be developing a cataract some luck eh) and the pupil is bigger but apart from that he is great still waiting on Thyroid results. Sorry to go on but it is a thought! you know.
like a witch hunt and thats no disrespect to Sally of course i suppose she just has to deal with it but oh so cutting comments tho its like proving your innocence which is a lot harder than lying thru your teeth!

Spot on Nikki it has been in the paper all week i stopped reading it. It is outrageous like you say they are all making money from discrediting her. Why they are all so threatened by her i dont know.
Hope Sky give her a one off special to put her side across as her reputation (like all of us) is all she has got and the papers have done a real job on her.

Now that really is grabbing at straws, I’m sure that if there was anything to report about a new home for MH we’d have heard about it by now. In fact MH’s prospects for returning at all are starting to look a bit bleak.
I wonder, and this is PURE speculation, so it’s my stupid if it’s not true, whether they’re planning a big reveal tomorrow, as tomorrow is Yvette Fielding’s 43rd birthday? It’s an occasion and I wonder if they’re going to make the announcement then when people are sending birthday wishes to her. Maximum attention=maximum impact. This is only my theory, but I think they could well release the statement then.

@ Hiya Jason I dont think Most Haunted will be ready for Halloween, I know its annoying but I think they might be struggling to get a channel. You never know they might surprise us and say MH is on for halloween, Just keep our fingers crossed. Just looking forward to MH being back on our screens again.

yeah cornwall is awesome i love the place too! i would really love to meet up with some most haunted fans offline as i dont know any people who like most haunted only online ! if any want to meet up in london give me a shout!
we go to cornwall every year for a family holiday we love the place! I’ve been to Jamaica inn too a couple of years ago the place has an eerie feel but the salmon pasta was to die for!!

early this year i stayed at an old cottage in cornwall and when i read the visitors book lots of people who stayed there before had wrote that during theyre stay they had seen a ghost called emily! also that they had heard noises.
i did start to feel abit scared ! so when i went to bed i left both of the bedside lights on ! strangely i woke at around 5am and both the lights were out and i knew for sure i had left them on ! then a few minutes later i actually saw both lights switch on by themselves !! very odd. also my family said when they came down to breakfast the curtains were open and we had left them closed! there was various strange knocking noises too in the night and a tv aerial fell off a wardrobe by itself and a door latch moved by itself in the bedroom.i didnt see the ghost of emily but it was an odd place, it was an old post office from years ago !
preston manor and tynedale farm i would love to go there too!
Saying that i would love to visit all the locations most haunted have done as it would be fantastic experience!
a couple of times i visited jamaica inn on the moors in cornwall on hols which was a very eerie place.didnt get to stay the night tho lol
