i bet when yvette is on the alan titmarsh show his tv ratings will get an extra 3 million watching i hope she breaks the news on what channel most haunted his on

@Jason: I don’t think anyone knows just yet, they might seal the deal with a Live show early next year, but they might broadcast the Christmas special on that channel first (not tremendously likely, but I hope they do because I’m too tight to buy the DVD 😉 ) Either way, according to Karl, we’ll get a Halloween Live next year.

I’m a big fan of Dead Famous too. I’ve watched most of the series on YouTube. I mentioned up there ^^^ somewhere a few weeks back about some of the best EVP’s I have heard on Dead Famous and put a link up. It was on their Return to thunderbird lodge episode. Really scary.

Watched Michaela last night it is like a paranormal holiday programme Sussex looks beautiful will watch again. Get the feeling if it was an investigation Michaela would age even quicker hehe. I vaguely remember her having had some sort of illness in her life might be wrong but imo she is TOO thin know she was always slight but looks a little gaunt or tired dont mean to be cruel but.
Yes absolutely agree about the big difference re old shows and new like a loss of innocence.

I just found this page when looking for info on Most Haunted. Gutted another year has gone by and no MHL. I’m over the moon it’s likely to return to tv. I love spending all night watching it.

I read some fairly unfair comments about the whole Derek Acorah stink. But I would love to see David Wells and Ciaran O’Keefe make a return with Yvette and Karl and Stewart were the best.

I have experienced some weird phenomena when I was a teenager and other strange occurrences I would like to share.

I used to feel presences in the house as a young teenager my bedroom door would move with no draft or windows open. I said come in and closed the door. I used to say it often when I felt it and sure enough the door would close, freaked my sister right out.

My grandad on my dads side died on the day of princess Diana’s funeral and I had had an awful urge to visit him that day because the whole thing felt weird then the phone rang and I knew he had gone before my dad could even say a word. When I moved back for a short time the bedroom where he slept before going into the home was freezing and no amount of heating could warm it up. Then when my parents were moving out his death certificate fell out from behind their bed. Which is strange because my parents keep important documents locked away. It was like he was reminding them.

My nana on my mams side of the family died in her bed. Since then my granda has had to move to another bedroom because of weird goings on like alarm clock going off with no alarm set in the middle of the night and lights switching on and off. He says he can feel her in there. I pointed out to my cousin when visiting the other week how cold it was in there compared to the rest of the house and she fully agreed she had felt the change in temperature.

I have read comments that people claim the cast did things to enhance the show but sky+ means you can rewind and turn the volume up to the max on ya telly and to be honest some of those things noises etc cannot be explained. Hope it returns real soon.

I was talking about Karl, but I suppose what I said applies to Fred to a degree too.
This isn’t a personal attack on him, but I also found it strange that he had a go at Chris Conway about “integrity issues” (integrity encompasses the moral and ethical principles adhered to be a person) while Fred was the owner of a strip club, which, one could argue is not the most moral of professions.
I was amused by trying to imagine what Germaine Greer would say to him. XD

Couldn’t agree more re Karl, Claire. It reminds me of someone I know who is a lovely lady, but her husband doesn’t know when to stop making jokes about her, mind you, he’s no prize either. It’s not very nice to watch, and everyone shifts and looks at the floor uncomfortably.
That show on Kerrang they did with Yvette, Karl, Fred and Stu where Karl was mouthing off about her Mum and Fred was on about snogging her, leading to a conversation about what their relationship would be like, Karl made some obscene comment and Fred told them that if he were to date her mum it would be a long term thing. I suddenly thought if he were to date Yvette’s Mum, then he’d technically be like a father figure to Yvette and, by virtue of that, a grandfather figure to Mary. Not to mention that if he were anything other than a gentleman to his friend and, on occasion, boss’ mother, it wouldn’t do that situation much good either. @vicki yep good points made wether you like or dislike him (Karl) and i choose them words coz love or hate are strong words there’s an element of what your’e saying i agree with,just dont like the bad banter if you can call it that and the disrespect to mediums why have them on if that’s the way you feel about them ? we are all loyal fans that watch the show but i think quite a few of us can see or read between the lines with relations and formats etc i also agree that Yvette’s quest for the supernatural truth is genuine by her antics in transsylvania re karl n stu but there’s that bitchy feeling of ganging up or ridiculing someone that i cant shake off.I just love the old ones when this was their baby and everyone bonded and had a laugh as well as taking it seriously,there had been nothing like this show on tv before and people were glued but when credibility comes into it people switch off i believe they still have a huge fanbase and they need to keep it that way so come on guys less swearing more respect and i know it wont happen but bring back the darling that is all DAVID WELLS!!!!

I think that the last few Lives that David took part in were very hard for him. As the blatant disregard of his advice was just awful.
Remember one of his last outings was Transalvania??? And it ended very stangely they were in a vault of some kind just below the alter of a church and Yvette was so sick and tired of Karls behaviour ie ignoring Davids advice and going without protection etc that she slapped him hard right in the chops.
Now if Fred is the one influencing Karl and Stuart i am relived as they could change.
You are so right about the contradicion re Karl and Stuart getting affected by spirits and us having to BUY that. And yet if a Medium is overcome by a spirit then it is fabricated. Reeks of double standards.
With Fred, expecting us to believe the Knights Templar connection, but nothing else Derek says is just straight up bananas.

Completely disgusted to hear about Fred bragging about his wealth, cars as he comes across on the Lives like butter wouldnt melt.

I do trust Yvette i feel she is really driven to find the truth but i’m a bit hot and cold with Karl and Stuart because of the reasons i mentioned. Also with Karl the guy confuses me i love the way he loves Yvette its priceless really, well thats how he comes across. But hate the way he treats her Mum? He needs to stop trying to be one of the boys (macho man) and concentrate on his sensitive side more and lose the bully boy tactics imo.

In saying all that i love and miss them all could make NO sense but well what can i tell you i’m a bit complicated lol
(although i wouldnt miss Fred sorry but he sounds like a bad influence to me)

Im a big MH fan and only asked ! ! Currently watching show on Yesterday channel , I think that what was meant . Is this show the replacement for MH ?

You’re right about David, he seems like a man who genuinely believes in who he is and what he’s doing. He stepped out of the TV spotlight to teach others and all I’ll say on the effects of fame is that I’ve never seen David take part in fly-on-the-wall documentaries about his home-life.

He might have something to do with it.
The way I see his role in MHL is that, like House said, “you pick your ‘expert’ you pick your problem” (another way of putting this is that if you go to a priest, it’s your fault, but if you go to a psychiatrist, it’s your parent’s fault, etc…) it’s the same on MH. While David was there, the theme of reincarnation came up a lot, when he left them, it was all suddenly “hogwash” and the word of a “comedium” and Karl and Yvette laid into him in the most blatant RetCon I’d ever seen. When Fred turned up, there was suddenly this ‘Jake’ character that was tailing them that had never been mentioned before, but was there now they had a ‘demonologist’ in tow.
Again, you pick your expert, you pick your problem.

@ Claire and Tracey: And why poo-poo mediumship and claim that he can summon and banish demons pretty much at will? I won’t go into the Knights Templar thing in too much depth, but I did find it amusing that Derek comes out with it and he nods and claims that it backs his research up, hugs Derek and still claims it to be true now, even after ‘Kreed Kafer’-gate. I was a bit confused about why he’d do that, especially given the “99.9% of psychics are fake” motto. Very strange… :-/
Another thing: If I turned up at Antix’s office with a ‘spirit photo’ I’d taken in my home and I said that I’d taken the picture myself in my own home which no-one can confirm because I live in it on my onesome, and I did smoke (I don’t but it’s an example) and burn joss-sticks, etc… and I think it’s a ghost, they’d say ‘stop wasting our time you stupid bint’ and send me on my merry way, so why was he different? :-/

Sorry, I must sound like I have it in for him, but I’m just pointing out that that’s probably what would have happened had it been me.

@ Caroline: Everything, really. His language, his showing off, his disrespectful treatment of psychics/mediums, the way he lays on the criticism once he’s got his mates/colleagues/legal team and the protection of a computer/TV screen between him and his target, his Retrospective Continuity (RetCons) about the series, all the cars he’s laughing about owning, while a lot can barely afford to put petrol in their one car, and a few other things. 🙁
Oh, yes, and I also took exception to him running in front of TV cameras with his full moon out. I had to look away, not what you want to see with your midnight snack of Rice Krispies… :-/

am so so excited that Most Haunted may be finally back, have missed it . Have watched some repeats on Livingit but to have the team back with some new and exciting stuff would be just GREAT !!!!!! :-). It doesn’t matter that it’ll be on a different channel either. love it !

P.P.S. Am absolutely convinced that ITV have bought the rights to Most Haunted. Yvette appearing on the Alan Titmarsh show on the 31st – which is an ITV show and woul therefore like to advertise this fact – makes me think this.
