Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and what better way to spend it with your friends and family than to enjoy a good old family movie?
The best part is, you don’t have to go to the nearest Blockbuster to rent a movie like we had to do in the past. Now all you need is a fast internet connection that can help you seamlessly stream all the movies that you want.
In that case, I highly recommend that you use a 5G Home Internet service since it gives you the speed and reliability that you need to stream your favorite movies with your family. Once you make sure your internet is good enough, here are some movies that I’m sure you will enjoy watching with your family this Thanksgiving.
The Blind Side
The Blind Side is one of the best movies that I enjoy watching with my family every Thanksgiving.
The movie is about a young, homeless boy who has a natural flair for football but has never tried playing professionally. During that time, a woman notices his talents and decides to adopt him so that she can help him unlock his true potential.
While the movie is based on a true story, it’s actually a pretty heartwarming one, as the boy not only gets to pursue his passion for football, but he also finds a family along the way who always treat him with love.
This is definitely the kind of movie you should watch with your family so that you can reinforce the importance of family bonds and the true spirit of Thanksgiving.
Mrs. Doubtfire
This movie is a comedy, but it is also equally heartwarming.
Mrs. Doubtfire is about a father who poses as a nanny only so that he can continue meeting his kids and bonding with them after his divorce. The movie stars Robin Williams as the father, so you can already imagine how great the movie would be.
It’s the perfect pick if you are looking for a movie that not only warms your heart but has you in stitches as well.
So, make sure you have Mrs. Doubtfire on your list so that you and your family can have a wonderful bonding session and all of you realize the importance of family bonds, something that the movie showcases quite brilliantly.
School of Rock
Nothing tells you to follow your dreams and passions better than School of Rock.
Again, this is a comedy movie, but the message it puts across is actually pretty beautiful. The movie stars Jack Black as a music teacher who has such an electric personality that he drives his students to develop a passion for music.
Plus, he has a very cute bond with all the kids, which adds to the beauty of the movie. Despite being a relatively old movie, this one’s a timeless classic.
The movie also emphasizes the idea that you shouldn’t think of yourself as a failure. Maybe you’re just headed in the wrong direction, as Jack Black’s character does get kicked out of his band, but he eventually realizes that his happiness lies in teaching music to children.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop
Kevin James is definitely among my favorite comic actors of all time.
In fact, I believe his role in Paul Blart: Mall Cop is my favorite out of all of them. In the movie, Kevin James plays Paul Blart, a mall cop, who takes his job way too seriously.
While he is on night duty, he finds himself caught between an ongoing heist at the mall, and he takes it upon himself to save everyone taken hostage. While the plot sounds like a serious one, it’s actually one of the funniest movies you’ll ever watch.
Therefore, you need to ensure that you don’t miss watching this one because you would actually be missing out on a lot if you don’t watch this one.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
What’s Thanksgiving without a bit of magic? Honestly, there’s only one movie that comes to mind whenever someone mentions magic, and that’s Harry Potter.
Though I love the third part the most, I recommend that you watch the first one with your family, as it sets the plot for Harry to enter the wizarding world, and everything about the movie is just beautiful.
While watching the movie, there will be certain times when you will wish that you could go to Hogwarts as well and experience life with a bit of magic. In fact, if you have the time, I recommend that you have a Harry Potter marathon with your family so that you can experience the story from start to end.
And with some magic, I conclude my list of movies that you should watch with your family.
So, make sure that you have that turkey stuffed and the fireplace set up so all of you can have a cozy holiday.
